Desperados invites party people to Get Absurd with its latest epic party combination!
Desperados is bringing the biggest party of the year with global sensation Steve Aoki to The Academy, Dublin on May 17th, followed by The Cork Opera House on May 18th. Inspired by the combination of ‘beer + tequila’, Desperados is responsible for some of the most absurd parties where the brand makes no excuses for combining the ‘normal and absurd’ to create some of the most epic party experiences.
First, ‘RAVE + BUTCHER SHOP’ landed, followed by ‘BUS STOP + SILENT DISCO’ and ‘BAR + DRESSING ROOM’, before finishing off 2015 with ‘BINGO + NEON’. This year, Desperados fans in Dublin and Cork are set for the most absurd combination yet with ‘FULL MOON + TEA PARTY’. Steve Aoki, the EDM king, will be banging out his biggest tunes but not before some surprise guests get the crowd warmed up. The Academy and Cork Opera House will be transformed into a neon beach party meets Mad Hatter’s haven which will shock and delight revellers throughout the night.
The renowned full moon, all night beach party will be paired with the traditional notion of afternoon tea to bring music fans a night of absurdity that only Desperados can deliver. Buckets, neon paint and full moon performers will transport attendees to an atmosphere rivalling the party islands of Thailand.
Attendees will be invited to ‘Enter the Night’ at the stroke of midnight with a chance to try Desperados’ newest addition to the flavoured beer family, ‘Desperados Nocturno’, a tequila and blended spirits flavoured beer which launched in Ireland this April. Party-goers will be treated to sample ‘Nocturno’ from teapots and cups as they pose in front of a giant tea cup for that perfect new profile picture.
Renowned for his cake-hurling and crowd-surfing antics, Aoki is a Grammy nominated DJ, producer and founder of the now-eminent Dim Mak Records. Last year he dropped his follow up album to the hugely successful Neon Future I, Neon Future II and continues to delight EDM fans this year performing it live around the world. He has worked with artists such as will.i.am, LMFAO, Iggy Azalea and Lil Jon.
Tickets go on sale on April 6th and are available on Ticketmaster.ie at €20.
