HEINEKEN Ireland makes Big Business Impacts with Community Partners in 2016

Friday 31st March- HEINEKEN Ireland supported over 61 community groups around Ireland in 2016, according to the latest Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI) Business Impact Map. Showcasing HEINEKEN Ireland’s commitment to making positive, tangible impacts across Ireland, the map highlighted some of our key achievements in 2016:

  • 61 Community Partnerships
  • 246, 850 Cash donated to Community Groups
  • €73,300 In- Kind donations
  • €35,153 Employee Fundraising
  • 1600 Hours Volunteered


Commenting on the launch of the BITCI Business Impact map, Sandy Boundy, Communications and CSR Manager said: “The achievements highlighted through our Business Impact Map are part of a wider commitment to our 10 year “Brewing a Better World” sustainability strategy.  Since our origins in 1856, we are passionate about giving back to the communities where we live, work and sell our products. We are especially proud to celebrate our volunteering achievements:  our employees gave a total of 1,600 hours back last year as part of HEINEKEN Ireland’s “Growing with our Communities” programme. Sustainability means much more to us than simply reaching targets- “Brewing a Better World” is embedded within our company and embraced by our people”.
